Can-Do Task: Write an Informal Email

Think of a trip or event you’d like to invite a friend to.

Your Task

Write a short, informal email (4–6 sentences) inviting a friend. Use a friendly greeting and closing, at least one gerund (enjoy doing, look forward to doing) and one infinitive (want to do, plan to do).

Model Answer

“Hi Maria, How are you? I’m planning to visit the mountains next month and I’d love for you to come with me. I really enjoy hiking, and I think you would too! Let me know if you’re interested. Talk soon, Elena.”
