Can-Do Task: Give Advice

Think of a real-life problem — yours or a friend’s — about health, work, or study.

Your Task

Write 4–5 sentences giving advice about the problem. Use at least three different modals: should/shouldn’t, must/have to, or can/could.

Model Answer

“My friend is always tired at work. I think she should go to bed earlier. She shouldn’t drink so much coffee in the evening. She must talk to her manager if the workload is too heavy. She could also try taking short breaks during the day.”
