What’s Next After B1?
Congratulations on completing B1 — Intermediate! You can now connect phrases to describe experiences, events, dreams, and ambitions; understand the main points of clear speech and everyday texts; and handle most travel and everyday situations in English.
What comes next: B2 — Upper Intermediate
At B2, you’ll build toward fluent, spontaneous interaction: more complex conditionals (Third and Mixed), the full range of passive forms, advanced modals, cleft sentences, and much richer academic and professional vocabulary. You’ll also work on producing clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects.
Keep practising in the meantime with our word tools, games, and CEFR-tagged vocabulary — consistent light practice between courses makes the next level much easier.
