Notice

  • You can already produce clear, detailed text on familiar subjects (B2). At C1, you learn to shape language deliberately — choosing structures for emphasis, register, and persuasive effect.
  • This course covers: inversion for emphasis, advanced hypothetical/subjunctive forms, nominalisation, advanced modality, complex relative and comment clauses, ellipsis, idiomatic and academic vocabulary, advanced cohesion, persuasive writing, and register control.

Rule

C1 is the level where you stop just being understood and start being precise and stylistically flexible. You will learn to write and speak in a way that adapts to audience and purpose — formal reports, persuasive essays, nuanced spoken arguments.
