Quick Review: Past Perfect, 2nd Conditional & Passive
A quick check on the four grammar points B2 builds on most directly.
Notice
- By the time I arrived, she had already left. (Past Perfect)
- If I had more time, I would learn Italian. (2nd Conditional)
- The report was written by the whole team. (Passive)
Rule
Past Perfect shows what happened first in a past story. The Second Conditional talks about imaginary present situations. The Passive Voice focuses on the action, not the doer. Reported speech turns direct quotes into your own words.
