Can-Do Task

This is the capstone task of the course. It directly matches the official CEFR A1 Writing descriptor: “I can write a short, simple postcard… I can fill in forms with personal details.”

Part 1: Write a Postcard

Write a short postcard (4–5 sentences) to a friend about a real or imaginary trip. Include:

  • a greeting and closing
  • the weather
  • something you did (past simple)
  • something you will do (going to / present continuous)

Example: Dear Sam, I’m having a wonderful time in Lisbon. It’s sunny every day. Yesterday, I visited a castle and tried some amazing food. Tomorrow, I’m going to the beach. See you soon! Love, Alex

Part 2: Complete a Personal-Information Form

Fill in this form with your own (real or invented) details:

Part 3: Compare Two Things

Write one sentence using a comparative adjective (e.g. “bigger than”, “more interesting than”).

Example: My hometown is smaller than the capital city.
