Hook
“Is this your sister?” “No, it’s my cousin.” Talking about family is one of the first things people do when they get to know you. With about fifteen words you can describe your whole family.
Notice
- This is my mother, Rosa, and my father, Luis. They’re my parents.
- I have one brother and two sisters.
- My grandparents live in the country.
- My mother’s sister is my aunt. Her children are my cousins.
- I’m married. My wife is a teacher. We have a son and a daughter.

Watch Out
- ✗ I have two brother. → ✓ I have two brothers. (plural)
- ✗ My parents is teachers. → ✓ My parents are teachers.
- ✗ My father’s brother is my cousin. → ✓ My father’s brother is my uncle.
