What Will You Learn?

  • Introduce yourself and hold a simple first conversation in English
  • Use the verb "to be", present simple, and present continuous correctly
  • Talk about your daily routine, family, home, and free time
  • Ask for and give simple directions, and get around a town in English
  • Order food, go shopping, and handle prices and money in everyday situations
  • Talk about the past using "was/were" and simple past verbs
  • Understand slow, clear spoken English and short written texts such as signs, menus, and forms
  • Write a simple postcard and fill in a personal information form
  • Recognize and use the essential grammar and vocabulary of the official CEFR A1 level

Course Content

Module 0: Welcome & Starting Point
Course orientation, the alphabet and letter sounds, spelling your name, and the classroom language used throughout the course.

Module 1: Meeting People
Greetings, the verb to be, countries and nationalities, numbers 0-20, and asking about personal details.

Module 2: My World
Articles, plurals, this/that/these/those, possessives, family vocabulary, and describing people.

Module 3: Time & Routine
Telling the time, days and months, present simple for routines, and adverbs of frequency.

Module 4: Home & Places
There is/are, prepositions of place, rooms and furniture, some/any, and describing your home.

Module 5: Around Town
Places in town, imperatives, prepositions of movement, asking for directions, and polite requests with can.

Module 6: Food & Shopping
Food and drink vocabulary, countable/uncountable nouns, quantity questions, polite requests, ordering at a cafe, and shopping.

Module 7: Abilities & Free Time
Talking about what you can and can’t do, hobbies, free-time activities, and sports using can/can’t and like/love/hate + -ing.

Module 8: Right Now
Present continuous tense, contrasting it with present simple, and describing clothes, colors, and pictures.

Module 9: The Past
Was/were, past simple of regular and irregular verbs, past time expressions, and simple past narration.

Module 10: Health & Feelings
Body parts, feelings and emotions, symptoms and simple advice, and weather and seasons.

Module 11: Putting It All Together
Comparative adjectives, a full review of question words, writing a postcard or simple message, and filling in a personal-details form — the direct target of the CEFR A1 Writing descriptor.

Final: A1 Completion Assessment
A comprehensive review and assessment covering grammar, vocabulary, reading, and listening from across the whole A1 course, plus a written can-do submission mirroring Modules 1 and 11. Passing awards the A1 completion badge.
